About Us
The Long Beach Public Health Laboratory is a CLIA AND AIHA accredited laboratory that provides state-of-the-art clinical and environmental testing. Our full service laboratory offers an extensive menu of established testing options, while our scientific expertise permits us to validate and bring in new assays. We have a rigorous Quality Control/Quality Assurance program that assures all results produced are of the highest quality.
Long Beach Public Health Laboratory’s unique capabilities in providing blood and environmental lead testing distinguish us as the preferred laboratory for this special testing. We provide training to local CHDP providers on the proper collection of capillary samples for blood lead. We are certified to process dust wipes, paint, soil, water, and air samples, to name a few, for environmental lead detection.
Our Molecular Laboratory features DNA Sequencing and Fingerprinting Analyses and real time-PCR applications for rapid detection of infectious disease agents.
