About Us
The Imperial County Public Health Laboratory supports a number of County Health Programs and provides public health related testing services to the local medical community and the public.
Diagnostic Testing and Referral Services
Testing is provided for infectious diseases commonly affecting public health, including: Tuberculosis, Sexually Transmitted Disease, and Rabies. The Laboratory also provides potable water testing and testing of raw and retail dairy products.
The Imperial County Public Health Laboratory also provides referral services to other laboratories for testing that is not performed locally. Samples are shipped to the Riverside County Public Health Laboratory or the California Department of Public Health Laboratory in Richmond.
